MORRO BAY ROCK ‘N MUSIC FESTIVAL RAISES FUNDS FOR LOCAL MUSIC STUDENTS

WITH BIG-NAME TALENT ON APRIL 1ST.

(Morro Bay, California) Big-named  talent will be on the bill for the first “Rock N Music” Festival held in Morro Bay on April 1, 2017 from noon – 6 pm at the Southbay Community Center in Los Osos.  The event, featuring musicians from The Dennis DeYoung Band, Madonna’s guitarist, one of Australia’s premier vocalists, and the bands Fire and Cassette Culture has been created to raise needed funds for Morro Bay High School and Los Osos Middle School music students.  Tickets are available via http://squareup.com/store/morro-bay-music-boosters/

Created by the Morro Bay Music Boosters as a unique way to raise awareness of school music while raising funds, the event will allow local youth music to experience a concert with major talent in an up-close and personal manner.

“We believe in the power of music to educate and inspire” said event organizer, Rob Meives. 

Meives who is a local resident, together with band parents have arranged a unique event.  “We are very fortunate to have gathered individuals who have played the world’s biggest stage along with major up-and-coming talent that will are arriving on the national radar” said Meives.

Featured on the bill are Leah Martin-Brown of the band Evol Walks, one of Australia’s fastest rising bands; August Zadra, long-time guitarist for Styx founder Dennis DeYoung; Monte Pittman, long-time guitarist for Madonna, and fast rising Los Angeles Bands Fire and Cassette Culture.   Fire, featuring front man Brett Copeland has toured significantly, and Cassette Culture is one of LA’s most buzzed-about bands comprised of individuals just 17 and 18 years old.
